{I spent most of the day in tears because my dad's job is still in jeopardy and a friend of mine was having trouble and I'm having trouble in school and things are generally Not Okay.}

Recently things have been hectic hectic hectic.

...but today... the day started off very very good.





and then... I saw that drawing and... I haven't felt like this since July.

My sister is a twitard.

(the worst thing? I was so happy when I came back home. I didn't have a first period so I didn't have that final, I went to school at 11:00 and played Apples to Apples for half an hour, went to my Theatre final, FINALLY had my teacher say "You slowed down!" after wanting that for the last four pieces, was sad-ish because I'm going to miss that class, got a ride home and kahlkfhda, and I was happy! Then I saw my sister's Christmas list, and she wants the second book of the "Twighight" series. WHYYYYYYY.)

I wish I had been able to vote (seven months and four days too young), but the end results is what I hoped it what be and I don't know where this train of thought is going because I am so close to crying from glee.

(Also? McCain? You're a Republican, and I am a teenager in a very liberal city, so I've never liked you too much, but your speech? Yea, you just got a bit cooler.)

FIRST OFF, I AM HATING MYSELF. I have a girlfriend now, Halloween was awesome, I was on time with NaNo, but we had musical auditions today during class and I saw the others students performing and I felt my confidence dwindling and I didn't learn the lyrics enough and one line in I chickened out. And after me was one of my friends and she was fucking amazing and god it was hard not to cry. My freshman came over and tried to help, and he kinda did, but the teacher was trying to give out comfort/advice but was only just rubbing salt in the wound, so after I dropped my stuff off in my next class I had to ask my teacher for a moment and call the BFF. Which helped wonders, because that's the definition of BFF: "The person you call when you're trying not to sob your eyes out and complain to, but end up listening to as they talk about other things that make you forget about your angst." ♥

(But between the teary-eyed asking a teacher for a moment and calling the BFF, I ran into my Bio teacher from last year, which was the best thing ever, because he is a kooky kooky guy and I loved him and he gave me a few words of comfort.)

BUT LET'S NOT DWELL ON THAT.

So on with Dancing With The Stars!

Warren - foxtrot - Glamorous. Yea, Warren was a bit out of sync with Kim (who was gorgeous), but I didn't see it as bad as the judges did. Really, I thought it was so so classy.

Second off, like the subject says, I'm taking a hiatus. Why? Because tomorrow is the first day of November, which means it's also the first day of National Novel Writing Month! This will be my third year, and I'm hoping to win it, so I'm hiatus'ing from this journal so I'll have one less distraction. I mean, I'm going to be here occasionally because hey, distractions are good when you have writer's block, but I digress. Basically, I won't be around much, and if you need me just email me.

I forgot to watch the show last week because it's been a bit boring to me, but this reminded me why I like it; it's fun. I agree that he didn't polish it as well as he could have, but still, it was fun to watch.

I feel a bit stupid doing this, since he was not my counselor and I never said two words to the man, but still, he worked at my high school, and our high school is a very close community, so...

RIP, Mr. Shrock.


(One of the counselors at our school; he was diagnosed with myelogenous leukemia a while ago, he had chemo therapy, we thought he was okay. It returned, he was to get a bone marrow transplant a week ago, but by the time his sister was confirmed with having the same type, the infection had spread too far. They told him they had five to six weeks. He died Saturday, at 7:32 PM. He died with friends and family, I never knew him, but really, he was part of the school, he has now passed on, and it's an impact.)

Haven't been around much, because life has been a mixture of 'not a lot going on' and 'a lot going on'.

Basically:

-I'm getting a social life

-I got all As on my first trimester report, something that hasn't happened in a long, long time

-Going through a rough patch with my sexual orientation

-Greatly annoyed at my living-at-home-sister



And yea.

Will add stuff randomly, if anything happens, but I'm just coasting at the moment.

Now if you will all excuse me, I am going to go watch Disney movies and mope some more.

Uncle Steve is here, and he's quite possibly the coolest uncle-but-not-really ever. Best laugh, if nothing else. We don't seem him often (he still lives down south, and he hasn't visited since my sister graduated), but when we do? Aw man, he's great. He's just one of those bubbly people who finds so much humor in life, with glee that is contagious like the chicken pox.

Best part? Our guest bedroom is taken up by my eldest sister, so my mom made a makeshift guest bedroom, which I don't have to sleep out in a tent!


And I've always wanted to do one of these, so:

I think Jeffrey Donovan may have just become my favorite actor ever.

I mean, I've always thought he's been brilliant, but recently, I've been floored. When the show calls for Michael to be various covers (with amazing accents), he's not just that cover; he's acting as his character acting as the cover.

Of course, it's not just Donovan being awesome; the episode writers are absolutely brilliant.

And yea. Basically, Burn Notice is one of the best shows I've seen in a long, long time.

...so of course, there aren't going to be new episodes for three more weeks.

In conclusion, not the smoothest day ever.

So, apparently, "Twilight" comes out in theaters on November 21st.

All my hate for Twilight aside, this excites me. A lot. Because my Thanksgiving break starts the 22nd and goes until the 30th, and I was planning on flying out to see my best friend then. And this best friend is the one that nudged me to read the book so we could mock it together. So while I don't want to spend any money on the franchise, if my friend and I can work this out, I will totally see it, and mock it, with her.


And for the record, my hatred for Twilight has increased with my watching of Buffy: the Vampire Slayer. (Which, for the record, is awesome) Just... whenever it's a Angel/Buffy scene, I keep comparing it to Edward/Bella. I mean, Buffy >>>>>> Bella, and Angel > Edward, but I can't help but make the comparisons. D:

...one more random note: "Growing Up Cullens" is the best thing ever.

Dude, for the first time in months I went out dancing, and I forgot how much I love it.

Seriously, nothing less of keyboard mashing could describe what it was like.

Best part though? My Waltz Buddy. Just... he is the grandfather I never had. Half of my dances were with him.

Also, Andre was also there; he was the guy I met the first time I went dancing, who was around my age. Awesome guy.


And just yea. I am so euphoric, I can't even explain it. (One of the songs we danced to? Techno polka. Oh yea.) Basically, my dancing partner is awesome, the waltz is awesome, dancing in general is awesome.


The only downside is that my feet are throbbing. Ow.

Over at fandomsecrets there's been a lot of secrets about Dr. Horrible's Sing-a-long Blog, and after finding that the "It's a beautiful day | The birds are all singing | That you're going to die" song was from it, I've started watching it. And jesus, why did I not start earlier? Dude. I love musicals, I love it when people randomly burst into song, and this is an almost-evil genius bursting into song.
